SEE YOU SOON! - Tara

TEXAS BOUND + prayers

I am so excited to be in Texas on Friday!  This is my every 2 year big fundraising tour!  While it is always a blast to see my family and catch up with friends and supporters, as well as eat Chick-fil-a and Whataburger, it is also really hard to leave my life for 6 weeks.  However, this time, William will be with me the whole time, and we are so pumped to be able to do this trip together!

Please pray with us over this trip.  Specifically we are praying for:
- Our dogs and my brother-in-law who is keeping them while we are in Texas
- New donors who want to sponsor students at Little Pasos
- New personal supporters (who would like to give toward Tara's personal support, separate from Little Pasos)
- Safety in our travels
- Safety for Charlie forever, but especially while we are gone
- Big donors who love giving large special donations to Little Pasos
- Our time with my family to be quality and fun!
- Our words as we speak to church congregations
- Times for connection and rest in the craziness of the trip
- A vehicle to use while we are there...

Yes, YOU READ THAT CORRECTLY, in all the planning, it had completely slipped my mind to set up transportation .  Does anyone have an extra car laying around that we could borrow while in Texas, more specifically the 2 weeks that we will be in Abilene and Lubbock.  I have a valid Texas Driver's License and have been in zero accidents (in both countries).  Thanks for praying with us!

Lia is obsessed...

with my left shoe.  She does not chew it, just likes to snuggle and/or sleep with it.  This goes for my crocs and house shoes as well.  She does not discriminate what kind of shoes.

Plátaninas

If you keep up with my traffic diaries on social media, you know that sometimes Guatemala makes what has the potential to be a short 20 minute drive into an hour long test of patience.  When this happens, people sell cokes and snacks IN THE MIDDLE of the road.  I love buying these fried plantain chips!  No, they do not make me sick.

Fundraising Zumba Idea

Do you have a space available for a fun 1 hour work out?  I am a certified Zumba instructor, and I would LOVE to be able to use this skill to fundraise for Little Pasos!  Basically, I would do a Zumba class for donations.  Reach out, if you have a church fellowship hall, a gym, a park (and speaker) haha, and friends who would want to work out AND donate to a great mission:  TO GIVE YOUNG MINDS THE TOOLS THEY NEED FOR A SUCCESSFUL FUTURE!

Thank you again for all the words of encouragement and prayers over us, this ministry, and this trip.  We are so blessed to have you as part of this team.  REMEMBER, this is not about any of us.  This, our lives, are about Jesus and spreading His message to everyone we meet and are in relationship with.  For me, it's here in Guatemala, to these families and students.  Are you reflecting and sharing the love of Jesus (His message of salvation) with the people in your life?!

Blessings,

Tara
