A great summer for Mabel our intern, tearing out the floor in the boys’ dorm and Michi is graduating!!
July was a truly busy month for NLCH, back-to-back-to-back mission teams came down and Mabel Patlan was a God send to help out. Her joyful disposition and willingness to help were amazing!! August was a floor busting month at NLCH!! Due to the many tremors and not so stable bottom floor of the boy’s dorm, many cracks and popped up tiles caused the floor to be replaced. It’s a $75K project and taking around 2 months to do. The boys are currently living in the team dorm building while repairs are done. We could use some help paying for this job. September found us doing some traveling around. First, I traveled to Montana to watch my granddaughter play soccer, it’s her Sr. year. My daughter had given us a gift card for flying so it made my going possible, Yay! Then, the next weekend Tommy & I drove to McKinney, Texas for his great niece’s wedding, so good to see some of the Todd family!! Then I drove to Round Rock to see some of my family and some new pups added to the family. It’s been a truly busy time for us!!
We’ve got tickets now to go to Guatemala in November for Michelle’s high school graduation, so happy for her!! She majored in graphic design so she can do things of that nature from home. We’ll be down there for 10 days so I should get in lots of fun times with the kids as school will be out!!
Thanks for your prayers for us and the kids at New Life Children’s Home, it means a lot to us!!
