NLAI Ministry Update | November 2025

As we approach the end of another year, our hearts are full of gratitude and awe at what God has done through this ministry and through you. Because of your generosity and prayers, children and families in Guatemala are experiencing hope, healing, and transformation that only Jesus can bring.

Jesus commands us to “go and make disciples of all nations.” For New Life Advance International, that calling looks like providing Christ-centered homes for vulnerable children, quality Christian education for families in our community, and medical care that restores both dignity and health to the children in our home. Together, we are caring for the whole person — body, mind, and soul — in places where children are often overlooked.

This year, that calling became personal for two sisters: Leyla (17) and Michel (11). When they arrived at New Life Children's Home in April, they were overwhelmed with gratitude just to be welcomed. Leyla lives with cerebral palsy, is legally blind, and had broken, misaligned teeth from a past fall. Michel struggles with asthma and years of instability. Within weeks of arriving, God opened the door for Leyla to receive free orthopedic surgery through a visiting medical team, allowing her to walk without a cane for the first time. Since then, she has received essential eye surgeries, dental reconstruction, and even braces. She loves Jesus and cannot wait to be baptized this month. Michel is thriving under proper medical treatment and is always eager to give hugs and spread joy. One child at a time, God is rewriting stories that once felt hopeless.

We see His work in our schools every day. Parents often say that sending their children to our Christian schools is a gift. Several parents of our students at Little Pasos have shared testimonies of their children coming home singing worship songs. Students like Valentina are speaking clearly for the first time after receiving speech therapy. Adrian turns on worship music at home all by himself. Angie has asked her parents if they can begin attending church.

At New Life Christian School, there is Lenny, a bright, curious student with autism whom many schools had rejected. When his mother brought him to NLCS, she simply hoped for a chance. Today, he is fully integrated with his peers, thriving in math, and dreaming about becoming an engineer. His courage — and his mother’s unwavering love — remind us why this ministry matters.

Because of faithful partners like you, children are being welcomed, educated, healed, and discipled. We praise God that:

  • Families are seeing the love of Jesus in both word and action

  • Students are receiving quality education without a financial burden

  • Children with special needs are valued, included, and given every opportunity to grow

As we look toward the coming year, we remain committed to stewarding every resource wisely so that more children can have access to the care, education, and gospel hope they deserve.

Thank you for linking arms with us in this ministry. Your partnership makes an eternal difference, and we are so grateful.

With hearts full of thanks,

Your NLAI Family
