Grace in Guate / April 2025
Education has been the focus over the past month or two. One of girls at the home has to pass a special assessment to officially complete third grade. We have been reviewing a year’s worth of content in two months’ time. We have also received multiple new children in the home with complicated educational needs. I am also working in the afternoons with A. She is in third grade, but still does not read fluently. I am grateful to be able to help fill gaps!
Learning Alert
The entire elementary had the opportunity to go to the Children´s Museum in the city. We spent the morning learning and exploring!
Please pray for guidance as the home and school work together to address difficult cases. We continue to seek out unique solutions for unique needs.
GreatJob!
More than half of the kids at the home met their first quarter academic goals! This group chose a trip to Dollar City as their motivator.
Semana Santa
The week leading up to Resurrection Sunday is highly celebrated in Guatemala. Many participate in parades and celebrations connected to Catholic traditions. During this week, a wonderful team from the states visited the home. They organized activities and devotionals for the kids focusing on our Savior’s death and resurrection.
