    Nurse at NLCH

    Tara grew up in Godley, Texas, before moving to Abilene, Texas to attend McMurry University with a bachelor of science in nursing degree. She will be serving as a nurse at New Life Children's Home in Guatemala.

  • Wayne & Dianne Kelly

    Directors, San Juan Ministry Center

    Wayne and Dianne Kelly have served in short term missions for over 20 years in Central America. Wayne graduated from University of South Alabama Medical School in 1992 and completed residency in Family Medicine at University of Alabama in 1995.  He has been in private practice for 21 years. Dianne graduated from University of Mobile in 1977 with a degree in Elementary Education and English. She graduated from University of Jacksonville in 2005 with a master's degree in School counseling. She has taught in many public and private schools. They have been married for 39 years. They have two grown children and eight grandchildren.

  • Lee & Staci Jarvis

    NLCH Short-Term Missions and Youth Coordinators

    Lee and Staci Jarvis joined NLAI in 2007. They serve with at New Life Children's Home in Guatemala. Lee is a graduate of West Texas A&M Universtiy. He is the Assistant Director of Adolescents and Short Term Missions. Staci, a graduate of Texas Tech University, assists with Finances and Bookkeeping. The Jarvises have three children: Canon, Ainslee and Karis.

  • Jasper & Latrica Jowers

    Construction and Child Sponsorship Coordinators

    Jasper & Latrica grew up in Brownfield and are from Lubbock, TX.  They have three grown children and six grandchildren. Growing up as high school sweethearts, they have been married for 37 years. Jasper & Latrica have been involved in short-term missions for 20 years. Jasper has been a home and commercial builder for 35 years. He has built churches, schools, homes, shopping centers, government buildings and done many remodeling projects. Jasper assists with new and existing building projects at New Life Children's Home in Guatemala. Latrica graduated from South Plains College with her Associates degree in Rehabilitation Psychology and from Wayland Baptist University with a bachelor's degree in Human Services. She will assist in coordinating child sponsorship. They are both granny & grandad to the children at NLCH.

  • Rob & Kristy Mehner

    Director of Pastoral Care and Training

    Rob & Kristy Mehner have been married for 30 years and have two adult children, Stefan and Casey. They have served God vocationally in various capacities; Rob as a Spiritual Formation and Executive Pastor and Kristy as a Children’s Ministry Director and Executive Director of a large foster home. Rob has a Chemical Engineering degree from Missouri S&T and a Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary. Kristy has an Early Childhood Education degree from Concordia University in St. Paul, MN. Rob will provide leadership to NLAI’s School of Mission and pastoral care for current NLAI missionaries. Kristy will be serving at New Life Children's Home providing tutoring for kids and assisting administratively.

  • Shelly Reeves

    Teacher at New Life christian SChool

    After serving as an intern at NLCH, Michelle "Shelly" Reeves, a graduate of Asbury University, moved to Guatemala in 2008. She began a class for deaf children at New Life Christian School as part of the special education department. She also works with a ministry to the deaf in her local church.

  • Tony & Carrie Taylor

    Church Development & Leadership Training

    Tony and Carrie Taylor have been with NLAI since 2002.  Tony is a graduate of Abilene Christian University and Christ for the Nations, and Carrie is also a graduate of Christ for the Nations. They live in Jacaltenango, Guatemala where they are working to strengthen churches, pastors and their families as well as raise up church leaders. The Taylors have three sons: Braegan, Trenden and Daivin.

  • Josh Terry

    Development & Administration

    Upon graduating with a degree in business from Texas Tech University, Josh served as an intern at NLCH for 15 months. During this time, he felt God calling him to return full-time. He enrolled in language school in January 2014 and then attended the NLAI School of Mission in Fall 2014. Josh now serves at NLCH assisting the director with development and administration. He also oversees the computer lab for the children.

  • Tommy & Marilyn Todd

    NLCH Construction and Child Sponsorship Coordinators

    Tommy and Marilyn Todd have been with NLAI since 2009, working at the New Life Children's Home in Guatemala. Tommy oversees the construction of new buildings and the upkeep of the existing ones. Marilyn handles the child sponsorship of the kids as well as assisting the director and other staff with anything that might come up. They are better known as "Papaw" and "Mamaw" and enjoy being grandparents to all the NLCH kids. Back in the US, the Todds have five children and nine grandchildren.

  • Kendon & Wendy Wheeler

    President of NLAI / Director of NLCH

    Kendon and Wendy Wheeler have served in Guatemala with NLAI since January 1988. In 2012 Kendon, a graduate of Texas Tech University, began serving as President of NLAI. At the same time, Wendy, a graduate of Baylor University School of Nursing, became the Director of the New Life Children's Home, School, and Clinic. They continue to make their home at NLCH in Guatemala. They have four grown sons, three daughters-in-law, and three grandchildren.
